Hardcover Notebook - Floral Chain
A hand crafted journal, professionally made to traditional bookbinding standards by me. It's a singular article that sets itself apart from mass-produced notepads by having a hand sewn spine and a recessed frame on the front cover.
This is a 160 page, hardcover journal. The cover is made with light blue fabric and colour matching repetitive design selected for the recessed front. To accentuate the paper design the frame is cut in a slight hourglass shape.
A5+ (15.4 x 21.6 cm)
160 unlined pages of plain white 120 gsm FSC® certified paper (suited for fountain pen, ballpoint pen and pencils).
Hardcover, quarter bind, flat-back spine.
Recessed frame.
Pages hand sewn with white linen thread.
Fabric headbands.
Blue silk ribbon page marker.
At each stage, attention to detail has gone into making this journal, from the material and paper design selections, to the case binding and finishing. Utmost care has gone into ensuring its quality and that the images are representative of the result, but as with all things truly handmade, there is potential for variation, and screen settings can affect the appearance of colours.
All work has been done in the UK and I try my best to source materials locally.
